Monday, April 25th, 2016: So far in his young career, Pat Sanders has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Sub League 2 in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 25-year-old Meridianville Bluegills catcher hit at a torrid .385 clip as he collected 10 hits in 26 at-bats, 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
So far this year, Sanders is batting .274 with 4 home runs and 20 RBIs.

Monday, April 25th, 2016: 25-year-old Elvis Anderson made a few Weedon Centre headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Sub League 1 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 12 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .462 average. Anderson collected 6 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 9 runs.
In 22 games this season Anderson has batted at a .368 pace with 32 hits and 12 home runs.

Friday, April 22nd, 2016: In a very sharp performance at Breakmen Ballpark Nobuo Nishida of the Tulsa Sparks blanked the Newport News Breakmen 6-0. He permitted 4 hits and finished with 10 strikeouts and no walks in the Sparks victory.
This year Nishida has made 5 starts, thrown 36 innings, fanned 25 batters and walked 9. His won-lost record is 2-3 with a 4.50 ERA.
