Monday, April 25th, 2016: The Sub League 2 presented its Player of the Week Award to Aurora Skylarks catcher Román Cruz.
"His numbers speak for themselves," a club publicist said. "He's been really seeing the ball well."
Indeed, Cruz has. Last week he went 11 for 24, batted .458 with no home runs and 3 RBIs.
Cruz is batting .338 this year with 1 home run, 11 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 22 hits in 65 at-bats.

Monday, April 25th, 2016: The marquee name in the Sub League 1 this week is Ryan Wolfe of the Adams Oysters.
The hot-hitting 24-year-old right fielder put up a .500 average and .522 on-base percentage, piling up 11 hits in 22 at-bats, no home runs, 6 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
That kind of hitting got him the SL1 Player of the Week honors.
This season Wolfe has hit at a .425 clip and produced 10 RBI, 1 home run and 8 runs.

Sunday, April 24th, 2016: Bin Chan of the Gulf Coast Tigers could be headed for the disabled list after suffering a concussion in a game against the Saint Paul Red Caps. He is expected to miss at least 4 months. The Gulf Coast third baseman was injured colliding with a player at a base.
